More about us

  1. We are a older couple who have been involved in social movements, art and architucture, design projects since we moved here in the early 1970's as are our three children. We have 5 grand children.

  2. Mari has been involved in the women's and environmental movements and worked in the cost with indian communities in promotion and design of textiles. Guillermo has been a leader in social movements and artist movements in Oaxaca

  3. We were the first couple to begin to recover a return to building adobe in Oaxaca our houses have been examples for other people to admire and also choose to build with adobe instead of cement block and brick as was the trend when we arrived. Our homes reflect this deep respect for vernacular design and its practicality.
