We offer a luxury penthouse condominium
located just 2 blocks from the beach and 1 block from the fashionable and lively 5th Avenue in Playa del Carmen, Casa Dorothea, a Penthouse Condominium, offers a haven that will make this your best vacation ever.

Casa Dorothea offers 2 bedrooms; one with a balcony overlooking the courtyard swimming pool and waterfall. There are 2 luxurious baths complete with marble and Tikal stone. We offer a fully equipped kitchen, laundry, comfortable living and dining spaces. More about us

We are Ron and Crystal and are in our mid-50s and mid-40s, non-smokers, very social but not night owls, have traveled extensively, enjoy other cultures and food and respect other's properties. We love Casa Dorothea which is named for Ron's mother. We are retired from computer consulting careers and just recently sold our "retirement project" - a restaurant we built over the past 7 years. We also own a B-n-B in central Pennsylvania, USA so have an intimate knowledge and respect for the hospitality industry as well as traveler's needs and wishes.

The town of Playa del Carmen is 40 miles south of Cancun, a short ferry boat ride from Cozumel and a short drive from Tulum. At Casa Dorothea, you have a 5 min. walk to the beach, crossing the lively and fashionable pedestrian only 5th Ave. which is packed with restaurants, clubs, shopping and people watching. A short 5 min. walk in the opposite direction brings you to Super-Walmart and Mega (Mexico brand-superstore) for all of your shopping needs as well as numerous small shops offering fish, fresh fruits & vegetables, wine and other necessities...
