About our home

Welcome to our condo at La Costa in San Jose del Cabo, site of the 2012 G-20 Summit and host to the Ironman competition for the last two years. The condo is about 20 miles north of Cabo San Lucas and about 15-20 minutes from the International Airport. The condo can easily accommodate 4 adults. The bedroom has a queen bed, and the sofa in the living room converts to a queen bed. Two bathrooms allow for each couple (or the parents and the children) to have their own facilities. The well-equipped kitchen makes it easy to cook meals when you don't want to eat at a restaurant. Beach equipment and snorkeling gear are also provided. Beach access (Sea of Cortez) is a 5 minute walk across the street. The comfortable terrace overlooks the 4th hole of the Punta Sur Golf Course. There are three pool areas with the largest being steps from our front door. Two of the three pool areas have spas.

More about us

  1. We are Jack, a retired police officer and real estate agent, and Linda, a retired high school English teacher. We have three adult children (one daughter and two sons) and twin grandsons, all of whom live in New York City. We live most of the year in Northern California. We bought our San Jose condo ten years ago because Jack loves to play golf and Linda loves the ocean and the local color.

Where is it?

We know you will enjoy your stay and find plenty to occupy your days: playing golf, lounging on the beach, snorkeling in the Sea of Cortez, swimming with the dolphins in the nearby aquatic park and marina (Puerto Los Cabos), fishing for marlin in both the Sea of Cortez and Pacific Ocean, relaxing by the pool with a cerveza or margarita, riding an ATV through the desert, strolling through the colonial town of San Jose, experiencing the night life of Cabo San Lucas, or reading a good book on the terrace.

You will be within walking distance of the beach (across the street), a very large grocery/variety store, casual and fine dining restaurants representing a wide variety of culinary preferences (several are just steps away at Plaza Pescador), art galleries, and local entertainment (music ranging from jazz to rock and Latin rhythm pus a multi-screen, modern movie theater). In addition to the nine hole Punta Sur Golf Course, there are several world class 18 hole golf courses within a short drive or taxi ride. You can also arrange fishing trips from the nearby Puerto Los Cabos Marina.

For more action, you can drive, take a taxi, or ride the local bus into Cabo San Lucas. Cabo San Lucas really comes alive at night with music pouring from the many nightclubs. You can also enjoy shopping in a modern mall (complete with movie theater, high-end stores, and casual-fine dining restaurants); take fishing, snorkeling, or site-seeing trips from the marina; or spend the day at Medano Beach sunbathing, eating at one of the beach restaurants, parasailing, renting a wave runner, or bargaining for souvenirs.
