This is a beautiful centrally located home which is regularly shown on the local House and Garden Tour. It is organized around a central courtyard with bouganvillea, cactus and other plants in abundance. You can easily walk to anywhere in the town from the house- 7 minutes to the central square.
We are a retired American couple originally from San Francisco now living full time in San Miguel. Love to travel and meet new people. In former life we were a lawyer and a personal shopper.
San Miguel de Allende is a town known for walking, sightseeing and shopping. It is located in Central Mexico in the high desert and is a well known tourist attraction due to its colonial charm. Because of this, there are many excellent restaurants and shops. Temperatures range from the 70s to the 80s (F.) throughout the year. There are other interesting colonial cities nearby, such as Queretaro and Guanajuato. Mexico City is 3-1/2 hours away by bus.
San Miguel was featured in Smithsonian Magazine, December 2010 issue. See http://www.smithsonianmag.com/travel/Under-the-Spell-of-San-Miguel-de-Allende.html
