About our home

I have my 2 bedroom, 2 bath home available for exchange or up to 7 one-bedroom casitas available for non-simultaneous exchanges. My home is on the property of my Bed & Breakfast property. Beautiful, colorful gardens with sitting areas, fountains, fish ponds, etc... My home has 2 bedrooms, living room, built-in circle booth dining room, kitchen, large balconies, professional piano. The master bedroom has a king bed while the second bedroom has a bunkbed and many toys. The casitas have one bedroom each and a separate living room with built-in kitchenettes. Amenities include cable tv, DVD, ipod docking stations, pianos, 5-days-a-week maid service, cook available for occasional lunch or dinner, on-site house manager/concierge to assist with your vacation. Furniture is all comfortable and attractive and you'll find decorative art from around Mexico and abroad. The house and casitas were built in 2003-2004 and have lots of light, garden and mountain views. Convenient to exploring San Miguel easily by foot, we're 7-8 minutes walking from the main square and 2 minutes from the artisan's market.

Where is it?

Imagine cobblestone streets, colonial architecture, local markets, spring-like temperatures most of the year, colorful streets and scenes.... San Miguel is a paradise and easily explored from our home. We are near the center of town on the edge of the neighborhoods centro and guadalupe. Our neighborhood is safe and well-lit at night. Easy day trips include exploring the towns/cities of Guanajuato, Dolores Hidalgo or Queretaro, and closer are opportunities for horseback riding in the campo and swimming at the hotsprings. If you're a foodie, you'll be pleasantly surprised with the variety of Mexican and international cuisine. Concerts, performances, and local festivals abound. Although most of San Miguel can be explored by foot, taxis are readily available for about 30 pesos ($3 USD) a ride or you can use the city buses for 5 pesos (50 cents). Visitors can fly into Leon (BJX) or Queretaro (QRO), either an hour and 15 minutes from San Miguel or to Mexico City (MEX) which is 4 hours away. Leon and Queretaro are obviously a lot easier and more convenient.
