About our home

Why do people love San Miguel? Aside from the warm, wonderful
Mexicans and the almost perfect year-round weather, people say they love the fact that you can walk everywhere! This home is spectacular and is regularly featured in the HOUSE and GARDEN TOUR of SAN MIGUEL. Location! Location! Location! This newly renovated lovely home is within a 5 minute walk to the jardin-the town square. You will want to walk there 3 or 4 times a day.
Casa Central is a short walk from the most popular restaurants,
galleries, Spanish schools, the theatre, plazas, lecture halls, the
library, etc.
The exterior of the house is over 300 years old and one would never know what is behind the door. You enter into a wide, plant-filled entrance-way that enters into an outside patio area with comfortable seating. To the right is the incredibly spacious master bedroom. White marble floors, a king bed, large white marble bathroom with two sinks and tons of closet space. The view from the bed is of two window walls, inspired by Gaudi, that look onto the garden. Almost completely surrounded by windows, this room flows outside to a large patio that is surrounded by a cactus-filled garden that has two ponds.
If one walks through the garden to the back of the property, one
finds the second two bedrooms. One is very large with a king bed
that can be separated into two twins. Gorgeous bathroom made with white tiles as well as a shower made from small, smooth black stones imported from the beaches of Mexico. The other bedroom at the back of the property can be set up with a single bed or it can be used by guests for whatever purpose they wish. This third bedroom has a beautiful green Mexican-tiled bath.
Above these 2 bedrooms is a roof patio acessable from the garden.
Now, going back to the main part of the house, one walks up a
beautiful, cantara-clad stairway to the living area. The living room
has a fireplace and lovely new contemporary furniture. The dining
area is next to the kitchen to allow for easy living and comfort
when you have guests.
The kitchen has incredibly beautiful granite counters and all new
stainless steel appliances. Microwave. Fine pottery dishes. Gas
stove. An eating patio is off of the kitchen facing the garden below.
Also on this level is a cozy little den with a fireplace, books,
sofas, a tv.
A stairway leads to the roof terrace where there is a 360 degree
vista of San Miguel, including the lovely main church. San Miguel is famous for its sunsets.
The main level has a washer and dryer.
The entire house has purified water.
Summer time in San Miguel is fabulous! The weather is generally in the70's with a little rain shower at 4 or 5 in the afternoon. This is whySan Miguel is so popular with tourists in the summer. Also during this time the countryside is filled with all kinds of wild flowers.
