About our home

Our home is in the historic centre of this beautiful,Colonial town,(now a World Heritage site) and close to restaurants,the Library(central to social life),galleries and the central square/Jardin.The house is warm,spacious and filled with light,it is comfortable and good for entertaining,with the gracious dining area close to the well equipped kitchen. Besides the large main livingroom,the second masterbedroom has its own smaller livingroom/study and kitchenette,it is on the ground floor and has its own entrance,great for couples sharing.The third bedroom has twin beds,which can be set up as a kingsized if required.Both masterbedrooms have very comfortable American king-sized beds. All bedrooms have their own bathrooms and are well removed from each other- giving everyone privacy. we have a friendly maid Lulu,who comes for 4 hours ,three times a week and keeps the house clean and organized.

More about us

  1. We, john and Sheelagh, are retired professionals(Brewer and College lecturer) we have lived all over the world and LOVE to travel. We have three children now grown and busy with their own lives. We are non smokers and will care for your house as our own. We are adventurous and ready to go anywhere, though we prefer it warm and sunny. Now that we are retired and flexible we look foreward to really living in new places via home exchanges, and meeting interesting people, thus we generally prefer longer exchanges. If you exchange with us we will truly try to make sure you are welcome and comfortable and have a great time.

Where is it?

Neighbourhood

Though very central our house is on a small quiet and pretty side street with little trafic. It is close to all amenities from language schools to Bars! Close to San Miguel are a variety of Hot Springs and spas, also nearby are other beautiful cities like Guanajuato and Queretaro. In all there are many oppertunities for learning-Spanish, cooking, Art,photography ,Equestrian facilities etc etc, and entertainment from foreign films to nightclubs. No one need be bored in San Miguel. Of course one can also sit in the many Cafes just watching life go by in all its exotic variety.,or hike in the canyons,stroll the Cactus gardens or attend the Yoga classes and philosophy groups.
