“Thank you Leila and Phil . We had a wonderful time in this fabulous house. We were very glad to have paid the extra for the heated pool as it meant the kids were able to spend hours at a time in the pool. Essaouira is incredibly windy and so is the house however we were very glad of this as it kept the mosquitoes away and it cooled the air . Mustapha was fantastic and even came in to the kitchen to help me cook a tagine and joined us for a game of water polo in the pool. We loved Essaouira! Such a lovely special town. We walked to the town from the house venturing across the dunes and walked for hours along the beach the wind pushing us along - which was great until we got to a very unsavoury part of the outskirts of the town - very depraved and depressing - the beach is basically a rubbish tip with wild dogs on it - not for the faint hearted! The walk took us 5hrs but we were rewarded by a fabulous fish lunch . The fish market on the port is great but we also had great lunches in the souk in the town , purchasing our meat from the our tomatoes onions and peppers from the market and handing it over to the owner of the grill who provides you with plates and forks and grills your meat for you. The best surfing is down the coast along a treacherous road at Insouane. All in all it was a great holiday . One crucial bit of information - to find the house drive down the coast road to Safi for about 8kms and then a white dirt road joins from the right. Drive another km then on your left is a big white boulder- take this road for 15 mins. Till you reach the house. We all struggled to find the house so thought it would be helpful to mention this here. Thank you Leila and Phil. From the Dickinsons snd the Richardson’s ”

“Though this was our first home swap experience I doubt whether it could ever be beaten ! It was a perfect stay in a perfect house and location . Spotlessly clean , full of character , beautifully decorated with traditional finishes , comfortable furniture and beds . Lots of different areas to sit, relax and eat in . Expansive views out over the ocean and in an area where the only noises at night were the occasional braying (correct term ?) donkeys and birds . Also just have to add how Mustafa , Nezha and their beautiful little boy made us so welcome without ever being in the slightest way intrusive . So friendly , helpful and warm . Would love the opportunity to return . There were 9 of us the first week and plenty of space in the main house ... though no escape from grandchildren ! However the fabulous pool and poolroom kept them entertained for hours and hours ! We had been to Essaouira before but was good to return and explore more . Recommend a trip to Sidi Kaouki and the incredible market at Had Draa . We have no hesitation whatsoever in recommending this house to anyone and Leila was a great communicator and responded quickly and warmly to our many questions ! Thank you for letting us stay in your beautiful and appropriately named house ! Alan , Alex and family ”
“Lieu parfait pour des vacances en famille et parfait pour visiter essaouira et des alentours. La piscine chauffée est immense. Mustafa et sa femme sont adorables et grâce à eux nous avons pu goûter des plats locaux. Je recommande a 100% cet endroit et y retournerai avec plaisir.”
“We had a wonderful holiday at Villa Habibi. It is an absolutely stunning villa with a gorgeous poil area, everything beautifully done and extremely comfortable in every way. It is in a very quiet, peaceful location about a 15 minute drive to Essaouira and the beach, so you do need a car or driver if you want to go out and about. We also absolutely loved Essaouira itself, a lovely seaside town with lots of great bars and restaurants. Leila and Phil were also at the villa (in their private section on the first floor) when we were there, so we were lucky to get to meet them - they were lovely people and very welcoming hosts who gave us great tips before and during the trip, big thanks to them for this wonderful week.”
“A perfect family-friendly holiday. We were two families and did a points swap for both the cottages. Both were gorgeous: very different styles with everything you need. We spent most of the time at the house, enjoying the garden and pool, and the children loved playing with the dogs. They gave us great advice before the trip and also during the stay, but also gave us plenty of privacy during our stay. When our luggage didn't arrive, and we were travelling with three small children, they were extremely helpful. Thank you for a wonderful experience.”
