Our house is right behind the walls of the old Medina of Essaouira. It's a 3 storeys house, furnished with all the art and craft of the Medina (beautiful thuya marqueterie, Moroccan rugs and poteries) but with all modern cosyness. The house is kept by our maid who will help you with cooking (she is a good cook) cleaning and visiting the Medina with no extra charges. She doesn't live in the house. She speaks good French and a bit of English.
Christine and Christian.
Christian is a painter. He mostly paints harbors and boats.

We travel a lot and like old cities and harbors. We enjoy resting in someone's home, as you will enjoy resting in hour Medina house. It's part of the trip.
We may also exchange our home in Provence, France, and , if necessary , our tiny appartment in Paris, Montmartre . http://myhomexchange.blogspot.fr/
Essaouira is known for its good climate, almost the same all year long: 16 to 22 in the wintertime, and 18 to 24 in the summertime.
It's a home for the surfers and kite-surfers all year long, but in autumn, the winds are scarce and the sun is really warm.
The pristine beach is a 12 km long walk, with views on the Mogador island.
The tiny harbour shelters great fishing activity on traditional boats. It also means that you can have delicious fish meals all the time.
The Medina was classified as world heritage ten years ago now, and lots of riads and dars have been restored according to the best traditions.
It's home to gnawa musicians and painters. Art amateurs will be satisfied. It's a wonderful place to ramble all day in the labyrinthyc streets.
