About our home

Essaouira in Morocco on the Atlantic cost is already well known for hundreds and hundreds of years. The Romans where there, the Portuguese, the Spanish and from 1762 on when Sultan Ben Abdellah became the king he made the harbor of Essaouira the most important one. The end of the camel caravaning from Timboektoe bringing silver and gold. Just like Marrakech Essaouira is completely surrounded by walls. There are 4 or 5 entrances. On the wall facing the sea we bought an old ruin, took it down and started all over again. We transformed it in our little palace near the sea. All modern comfort is there. Lots of light. When you enter the house there is the hall and a quest room with shower and toilet, first floor is main sleeping room with bathroom(bath) and toilet. 2nd floor is kitchen and dining room and the 3d floor is a terrace overlooking the old town and sea. On our website;www.rue11.com you can sea the style and details.
