About our home

I bought my home a year ago and then started remodeling. My favorite part of the house is the kitchen, the heart of my house. The house is situated on a large plot with more than enough space for children to play in a safe environment. The house is situated next to the river, although you will find it mostly dry, and it is lovely and peaceful to sit on the front porch and look out over the river. The house has five bedrooms and three bathrooms and a comfortably sized living and dining area. The house is not luxurious, but is a house where you can relax and kick off your shoes. A lot of the furniture in the house was either made by my dad or is family heirlooms that was passed on from my parents and grand parents.
Namibia is a jewel and inhabitants refer to it as Africa light. We have a very stable political situation and well developed infrastructure. If you would like to experience vast open spaces with plenty of wildlife, this is the place to come. There are a lot of beautiful lodges and wildlife parks close to Windhoek that you can visit for the day, and if they don't offer enough wildlife and beautiful landscapes, then the world famous Etosha National Park is an easy drive away. Long-term visitors can also visit the beautiful coastal town of Swakopmund that is only a three hour drive away. This might sound far, but long distances and beautiful and constantly changing landscapes are what we are famous far. In contrast to this, even though Windhoek is a city, everything is at the most 15 minutes away. My country and my people are lovely and friendly and inviting and will welcome you with open arms to what is called the Smile on the Face of Africa.

More about us

  1. I love to travel, explore new places and meet new people.

  2. I work at a bank in Windhoek where I am responsible for their Corporate Social Responsibility and organisation of all the events hosted by the bank. Previously I was a journalist at one of the local newspapers, but I decided that the area of social investment was more appealing and rewarding.

  3. I love good food, wine and good company.
