About our home

The house was built in 1880, it used to be an old cafe for the dockers. We turned the bar into a nice and cosy family home.; a 110 square meter apartment, spread over 2,5 floors. A large kitchen is the entrance of the house, a small step leads you to the living room, the 3 bedrooms and 1 bathroom are upstairs. Situated on the ground floor, on a corner with lots of windows and light. We left a lot of old details and added some temporary features which makes it a very charming home.

Where is it?

The neighbor hood is built on old foundations of dockyards in 1880 and is called Czaar-Peterbuurt, after the Czar Peter the Great who lived here for a while to learn all about building ships. It is a quiet part of the city centre with lots of little specialist stores like a olive oil shop, whisky shop, jewel shop, high end fashion shop etc. Several places to eat and drink and 3 supermarkets close by. Close to the Funen Park, close to Het Scheepvaartmuseum and very close to public transports. Even the countryside is 10 minutes drive by car.
