About our home

Amazing new built residential, near centre. Contemporary design with all luxury features you would expect. Great light airy living room, 3 cosy bedrooms. Located just 4 stops from Central Station or Museum district, but also from the lovely East area. All the museums and terraces are open again. As well as restaurants. But you are very welcome to cook in my home.

If you are looking for more tranquil options, you could visit the little fisherman villages just across the bridge from me. Maybe a round of golf in the area and have beautiful walks or bike rides.

My home is also near to the highway and a great location to venture into all areas around Amsterdam. Visit Utrecht, The Hague, Delft or Den Bosch beautiful historical cities, ALL within 1hr.

Or for the kids there are many attractions around aswell, across the street the largest skatepark of Amsterdam, near beach, sailing, horse riding, attractionpark Duinrell, Legoland Discovery Centre, all within 1hr.

Lovely cat Roxy lives here❤️

More about us

  1. We are a 2nd chance couple ;-) We both have two kids. Roel's sons Daan and Mees (21/19) are both studying in Groningen, my kids Luuk and Lola (8/6) are still living with me, while I am co parenting with my ex. Modern family Amsterdam style :-)

  2. Roel is a fundraiser and sponsorship manager for the Muziekgebouw, the largest music hall of Amsterdam making contemporary classical music more accessible to a larger crowd. I am a multi entrepreneur. I have 3 businesses running networking and personal development events. I am a life coach and developing hotels while doing it. Roel and I love architecture, modern art, food. With my kids I love to visit small sunny places where there's a pool or beach around for our summer holidays, or school holiday breaks.

  3. We are looking to swap a home that fits at least 4, but it would be perfect if all the kids and their friends could come, which makes 8. We would love to find a home in Tuscany, Greek Islands, Spanish Coast, South of France.

Neighbourhood

Across the street from the largest skatepark of the Netherlands, attracting an international skate crowd, trying the 3,5m ultra deep bowl. Oooh’s and aaaah’s all over the place.

Buzzy restaurants
You are staying on a “suburban island” people live here and go to work in the centre of Amsterdam. Therefore there are no restaurants on the island, except for snackbars :-/ However my restaurant (google them for addresses) tips that are only 1 stop with the tram 26 are: • HappyHappyJoJoy Oost (Asian) • Pata Negra Haven (Tapas) • Rosa & Rita (basic pizza’s but nice for a Dutch girl) If you would like to go more into the central, try: • Seafood Bar (Fish) • De Tulp (Surinam food) • Romano in Permano (Classic Italian) • Biertuin (Chicken & Beer) • Restaurant Park (amazing terrace and park view C by Baut (high end)
Cool bars
Try the bars and cafes around the Oosterpark, lots of options and not too touristy!

Retail therapy
9 streets area, quaint shops, vintage shops and small entrepeneurs
Bit of culture
Ofcourse you should see the Rijks Museum, Van Gogh Museum and Stedelijk Museum. But try MOCO modern art and NEMO for kids too!
Walks in the park
Vondelpark is the largest and most attractive park of Amsterdam. Lots of entertainment and food & beverage options.
Spot of exercise
Just across the street you can have an open air workout around the skatepark, have a run along the water, rent bicycles.
Day tripping
Try the fusherman villages Voledam and Edam. Move more down south to The Hague, Utrecht or Delft great old historical cities, or even try Eindhoven which has an urban industrial feel.
