About our home

We love to welcome you in our ground floor apartment (85 square meters) in the east part of Amsterdam, near the city centre. Our house has everything you need and more! We think it's the best place to stay when you visit Amsterdam because the neighborhood has lots of nice shops, restaurants, pubs and a big market nearby. Within a ten minute walk you can visit Tropenmuseum and ARTIS Amsterdam Royal Zoo and experience nature right in the city centre. Two minute walk from the house there is a beautiful city park with a forrest playground and also a public pool. And when you are tired and just want to chill, take a nap on the lounge sofa in our big garden!

  1. Hi, we're Bram (32) and Naomi (34). We both work in Media, Bram is a television director, Naomi works at a foodmagazine. We love to travel but also love our house in Amsterdam.

Where is it?

Neighbourhood

Various facilities such as an public outdoor swimming pool, a beautiful park with a forest playground, shopping area, big market and a lot of nice hip new bars and restaurants are within walking distance.
Due to the many possibilities of public transport (tram, bus and train) you can reach the city center and the Central Station in 15 minutes.
Via the Schellingwoude Bridge you reach the Ring A-10 with easy connection to all exit roads for a city trip to Utrecht, Rotterdam or The Hague.

Buzzy restaurants
Wilde Zwijnen is one of our favorite restaurants! Here they serve beautiful fish, meat and veggie dishes. The wooden tables with old school chairs, lots of white and industrial elements give the place a nice and cosy vibe.
Cool bars
Visit the best clubs and bars at the Reguliersdwarsstraat in the city centre of Amsterdam.
Cozy cafés
Bar Basquiat. Deliciously fresh food with a trendy laid back atmosphere and a big terrace.
Retail therapy
One of the nicest streets in Amsterdam East is the Javastraat Amsterdam. Full with shops and products from all around the world together with super trendy hotspots. At the oriental grocery stores you buy the best vegetables, bread, herbs and spices. Next thing you plump down at a nice coffee bar, lunchroom, or restaurant. There is also a bigger commercial shoppingcentre nearby 'Oostpoort'.
Bit of culture
The Tropenmuseum is a museum about people, housed in one of the most impressive museum buildings in the Netherlands. From the monumental Great Hall there is a wide view of what the museum has to offer. The extensive permanent display and regularly changing exhibitions feature objects that all have a story to tell about humankind. Stories about universal human themes like mourning, celebration, ornamentation, prayer, conflict. Visit the Tropenmuseum and discover that, despite cultural differences, we are all essentially the same.
Walks in the park
Stroll among the shady trees, admire the diversity of plants and animals, travel to the stars, enjoy the heritage. Visit ARTIS Amsterdam Royal Zoo and experience nature right in the city centre.
Spot of exercise
Eastbound Gym is the best gym in town. You can take boxing and yoga lessons. First sweat, then relax!
Day tripping
If you like to see Amsterdam from a different view take a cruise on the canals.
