About our home

Our house is clean, colourful and cosy, 146 m2 with 3 bedrooms, a study, bathroom, spacious living room and a ground floor diningroom/living with an open kitchen, a long family table and double doors opening to the green fields of the park. Warm in winters, and great to sit outside in the summer. It is perfectly located in a car-free park in the centre of Amsterdam, with easy and fast public transport connections to all great places (only three stops from central station). Ideal for couples as much as for families, because in summertime the wonderful spacious park we live in is like a big garden were people enjoy the sun and kids can play freely.

Neighbourhood

We live in the Funenpark, a carfree area close to an old windmill in the middle of the city (cars can be parked next to the park) along the river IJ. It is a prizewinning new architecture park with twelve carefully designed apartment buildings and lots of green and space outside. A fresh and inspiring mix of Amsterdam people. Markets, great small shops (fashion, design, and lots of small speciality stores) and some museums (Scheepvaartmuseum, Tropenmuseum, NEMO) are close by, other places and museums - like the Rijksmuseum, Van Goghmuseum, Anne Frankhouse and the Heineken brewery - are easily reachable through the Amsterdam trams. Footballfield, a basketball ground and playgrounds are located in our park.
