About our home

My apartment is situated in the area called 'Westerpark'.
It's very close to the 'Jordaan' (the famous old city centre) and within a 3 minute walk you are in the 'Westerpark' itself, which is wonderfull for a stroll or picknick. In the park you will also find many fancy bars and restaurants. It's also quite close to the central station.

For the interior: It's cosy, colourful and spacious, although it's a small apartment. I have one bedroom with a double bed, an open kitchen and a small bathroom with a shower. Everything is very neat and clean and I did my best to create a good atmosphere :)
My garden is relatively big (for Amsterdam standards) and also very sunny, with approximately 6 to 7 hours of sun during summertime.

To go to a touristic hotspot like the Anne Frank house (for example), it takes you 22 minutes by foot (i checked google maps for that ;) or 8 minutes by bike.
Just around the corner you'll find a bycicle rent, grocery stores and also many nice bars and restaurants.
There's a bus stop at 1 minute walking distance from my front door and it brings you to the central station within 10 minutes.

From Schiphol you take the train to the central station (16 minutes) and then you can take the bus or you just walk to my apartment :)

I would love to swap houses whenever I can, wherever you live!
Please feel free to contact me.
Cheers, Yvonne

More about us

  1. My name is Yvonne. I'm an actress, singer and theatre maker. I would LOVE to swap houses with somebody for a (couple of) week(s) to relax and do some writing. I'm currently writing new songs, so I could use some inspiration from another environment :)

  2. I'm a self-development junky, I love deep conversations (not a chit chat person), food and wine lover, city lover, but need my time in nature to recharge. Passionate about theatre , movies, art, meeting new people. Working out is important to me to stay sane (crossfit, kick boxing, hiit)

  3. I'm very sensitive when it comes to atmospheres. Between people, but also in a (home) environment. I love cosyness, colour and spaceiousness around me, so I reallly tried to create that in my apartment. Although it's not big, I think it 'breathes', also because of my 20 green plant friends :) They do need some TLC, so you kind of need to be a plant lover to stay here :) My garden is my triomph. It's very rare to have a garden (on the south) in Amsterdam. So very proud of that!
