About our home

This charming apartment is located in one of the most popular areas of Amsterdam and it's at the ground floor with a small garden in the back of about 15 square meters. It's located in Amsterdam Oud-West, right by the Vondelpark. It's basically city center, but very local in feel with very few tourists around. The home is on a quiet street, but with many nice restaurants, shops and coffee places on walking distance. The place has high ceilings and it's very light. It has a big bedroom with lots of closet space, a well-equipped kitchen, a very small bathroom (kinda typical for Amsterdam) with toilet and a light-filled living room. It's set in a beautiful old building, but on the inside it's completely renovated, modern and fresh.

More about us

  1. I'm very keen on doing a longterm swap for 1 month (maybe more) with another freelancer – or anyone who'd also like and can work/live abroad for a little while longer to really explore a certain place and get to know the culture.

  2. Originally I'm from Amsterdam. Born in Sweden, with Indo-Dutch roots, but I grew up in this beautiful city.

  3. Feel free to check out some of my work: I'm an editor, journalist and illustrator. I mainly write about fashion, art, architecture, the wellness space and tech as well.

Where is it?

This must be one of the nicest areas in Amsterdam, I feel. Because it's in a beautiful historical part of Amsterdam, near the city center, but it has a very local feel. There are rarely any tourists around, yet many many nice cafes and restaurants. You're also close to Vondelpark and all the big museums. I have tons of tips for great places to eat/shop/see etc. in Amsterdam.
