About our home

Our home offers a perfect balance for a stay in Amsterdam, with or without children. It is close to both the hectic city as well as a quiet hideout.
The spacious living, dining area and open kitchen are on the third floor of the apartment building, plus a balcony and a toilet. There are 2 large bedrooms on the floor above: 1 with double bed, 1 with a cradle, a single bed, and a matress, so suitable for three (provided that one fits in the cradle!)
The large bathroom with bath and toilet is also on the top floor. The stairs to the top floor is in the living room; no extra hallway. The home is full of daylight, fully furnished and has excellent cooking facilities!

More about us

  1. We are a family of five: Nina, Hugo and baby Joan, who was born in February 2018. Hugo also has 2 daughters of 19 and 21 years old.

  2. Nina works with a non-profit on global health and Hugo is owns a graphic design agency.

  3. When we go on holiday we like taking long strolls, either in a city or in nature, and get to know the place we are. We also enjoy good food and wine, from homecooked up to fancy restaurant dining. Quite easy to please, as long as we stay out of tourist traps.

Where is it?

The neighbourhood is what I would call a typical residential area of Amsterdam. It has grocery shops, cafes and eateries in all kinds of flavours and styles.
The good thing is that it is also within very short reach to partying, bars, clubs and the likes, if that is what you want. It would take you 15-20 minutes on foot, and even faster by public transport or bicycle.
On the other hand, a two minute walk takes you to an immense park, with playgrounds, a toddlers swimming area and tons of cafes and coffee bars with terraces.
