About our home

Located in the very heart of 'De Pijp'; the famous restaurant and gallery district. Our sunny apartment accommodates 2 people. The apartment is light and very spacious (110m m2) on the 3rd & 4th floor.

Due to the central location it is the perfect location for your city trip to Amsterdam. It is home (and next to) to the famous Amsterdam Albert Cuyp daily market and close to the Heineken center, the Rijksmuseum, the Van Gogh museum etc. and all the canals. You can rent bicycles across the street (- 10 meters from our doorstep) and there are all kinds of cool shops and stores in the direct vicinity. All in all the perfect apartment for your Amsterdam visit- It will completely give you the sense of living in Amsterdam- be a local..

The apartment is spacious but cosy. It is light and open spaced over two (third an fourth- stairs) floors with an open kitchen and bathroom. There is a toilet on both floors. The bedroom is a large attic space and can be closed off by easy to operate hatch.

Where is it?

As with most of central Amsterdam’s outlying neighborhoods, for a long time de Pijp housed the city’s working class, and was mainly constructed in the 19th century in order to fulfil demand for housing. Vestiges of this fascinating urban history are still visible throughout de Pijp and the neighborhood is renowned for its typical, narrow townhouses which were originally built to accommodate low-income families.

The whole neighborhood revolves around Amsterdam’s most iconic market, Albert Cuyp Markt, which attracts hundreds of visitors every day. Besides these stalls and trestles, de Pijp is also home to many excellent cafés and restaurants and is well known by locals for its amazing brunch restaurants, such as Little Collins, Bakers & Roasters and the Scandinavian Embassy.

Next to that you find the best boutique shops of Amsterdam (and maybe even of entire Netherlands) around the corner. It is called the Gerard Doustraat.
