About our home

Spacious, three stories, town-house located in one of the best neighborhoods of Arnhem. Our house was completely renovated in 2008, while keeping original details. The house is spacious with an authentic atmosphere but with all the comforts. Within walking distance to city centre (500 m.) and train station (300 m.) with direct connection to Amsterdam (1 hr.). Our house is located at dead end street and has a sunny garden. Bicycles and car available.

More about us

  1. We are a couple with two adult children who live on their own. We live in a completely renovated town-house(1903). Peter (59) works for a advisory company on sustainable water management (, involving quite some travelling around the world. Alice (58) is a social worker supporting families. We have plenty of travel experiences as well as living overseas (Turkey and Sri Lanka). We enjoy city life and culture, but can not survive without doing our sports (running, walking, mountain biking, swimming). We've exchanged homes with families in Netherlands, France and USA. Big success for both sides! Time for a new experience. Looking forward to many more exchanges!!

Where is it?

Arnhem, located at river Rhine, has a good shopping area, many restaurants, bars, cinemas theaters. Next to our house is the big city park Sonsbeek (400 ha. 800 acres) with waterfalls, fountains, etc. Beautiful place for an evening stroll, or nice running. The park is connected to the main forest of the country (Veluwe). The city has cultural events like the Open Air Museum, Natural Parc Hoge Veluwe, Kroller-Muller Museum (van Gogh), Museum for Modern Art, Zoo etc. Arnhem is also known for the WO II battle "a bridge too far". To summarize, excellent location for outdoor lovers who also enjoy city life.
