About our home

Our home is warm, a bit quirky, colourful and sunny. The living room is light & spacious and has a high ceiling. The kitchen and a bathroom are on the ground floor, too, adjoining our lovely little kinda-cottage garden. Upstairs you'll find 4 rooms. A bathroom, our bedroom (sleeps 2), the Girl's and the Guy's Room. The last one contains our music and pc, and can sleep 1 or 2 if you like. The smallest room is the Girl's Room, it has a desk, a chest of drawers and a sewing machine. If you really want to, you can sleep a small person in it. The attic contains mostly mattresses and Queen's Day stuff :-). Oh, and we have no TV. You can watch dvd's on one of our computers/laptops though or use our wifi. We have 2 adult bikes for you parked in front of our house.
And...last but not least, we have a two cats to play with (and who are very easy to care for).

More about us

  1. We're Hester and Paul and we're in our fifties. Paul cares for customers in Amsterdam and I'm a teacher in Haarlem! We like reading, cooking, gardening, camping, art, music and going to gigs. We also love to walk around and ride our bikes in and near Haarlem, we've moved here after living in Amsterdam for about 20 years. Felix and Jack, our spoilt kitty-cats, are our co-habitants. We'd love to get to to know you and your home and will certainly take good care of your pets!
When you send us a message we''ll always try to answer your questions ASAP.

Where is it?

We live in a quiet street with quiet neighbours, less than 10 mins. walking from Haarlem city center and Haarlem Central Station. Amsterdam is only 20 train minutes away. If you jump on one of our bikes, you'll reach the beach in 30 cycling mins. Trains will take you straight to sand & sea in only 10 mins. Then there's the dunes with trees and much more nature to walk around in. Haarlem has way too many museums and galleries besides the famous Frans Hals, there are a lot of fun things to do here, indoors and out of doors. There's a shopping street and a supermarket close by.
