“I exchanged with Paul and Hester for a weekend. A very nice experience! We will probably swap again this year. Communication was very pleasant, the house is small, but everything you need in it. The recently renovated bathroom was marvelous! Two interesting and funny cats, a small garden, very quiet at night and all that near the central train station and charming, historic center of Haarlem. I have not yet been to the beach, but that seems to be quite near as well. I can certainly recommend an exchange!”

“Thanks again to Hester and Paul for taking good care of our flat. Our stay in Haarlem was very pleasant, the flat is charming, so are the cats. We also enjoyed meeting Hester and Paul prior to our departure, and another time just before leaving the Netherlands.”
“Best location in Haarlem because it's super central yet very quiet and tranquil. The Garten was lovely, we enjoyed it very much. We cycled with their bikes everywhere and the nature (lakes and woods!) are really beautiful. We would love to visit again one day! Cheers!! ”
“Last weekend (Feb '14) we had a wonderful weekend in the nice and quiet house of Hester and Paul. They have a fine house, with two cats, lots of books and everything on walking distance! Haarlem is a very nice and beautiful city and you can reach the beach by train in 10 minutes. We entered a clean and cosy house in Haarlem and went back in a clean house as well. Hester and Paul are very relaxed and open minded. We we're glad we could meet them when we got back in Arnhem. So if you want to visit Haarlem? Don't look any further.”
Where is it?
We live in a quiet street with quiet neighbours, less than 10 mins. walking from Haarlem city center and Haarlem Central Station. Amsterdam is only 20 train minutes away. If you jump on one of our bikes, you'll reach the beach in 30 cycling mins. Trains will take you straight to sand & sea in only 10 mins. Then there's the dunes with trees and much more nature to walk around in. Haarlem has way too many museums and galleries besides the famous Frans Hals, there are a lot of fun things to do here, indoors and out of doors. There's a shopping street and a supermarket close by.
