About our home

We have a comfortable and quiet first floor apartment (65 sqm) that has a balcony and all conveniences one needs. It has a king-size box spring bed (1,80m), dishwasher, washing machine, fridge, microwave, oven, television and high speed internet.

The apartment is situated in a quiet and save suburb, 10 minutes’ walk or 5 minutes bike ride to Nijmegen centre or to the central train station. The suburb itself has a supermarket and a few cafés.
Nijmegen is a lively city in the east of the Netherlands. A river runs through it with a long boulevard and it has a beach where you can swim in the summer. The city was built by the Romans and is the oldest in the Netherlands. The city centre has many historical points of interests and many bars and cafés where you can sit in the sun during the summer.

Next to Nijmegen lays a forest, which is perfect for mountain biking and hiking. In the near surroundings there are many small towns which are great to visit for a day trip. If desired, you can use our bikes and our car to travel through the Netherlands. You can visit Amsterdam and other Dutch cities within a 1,5 hour drive or train ride. It is also near the German border, so major German cities are within your reach.

In the third week of July, Nijmegen hosts the annual International Four Days Marches, a well-known marching event. It is a full week of festivals, art and culture and draws people from all over the world.
