About our home

Our house is located in a quiet and green part of Rotterdam, but on walking distance from the city centre. It's perfect if you want to explore the city but also spend quality time at home. There is a sunny garden (with open air kitchen!) and huge trampoline for hours of play fun. Inside the house it's safe, there are lots of toys and Netflix on TV. You can use our bikes to explore Rotterdam the real Dutch way!

Rotterdam is on of the most hot & happening cities in Europe at this moment, according to a.o. Lonely Planet. We moved from Amsterdam tot Rotterdam about 1 year ago since we are simply in love with this city: inspiring and innovative and centrally located. Other Dutch cities such as Amsterdam (50 minutes by car, 40 minutes by fast train) and Gouda (30 min) are near by.

Lonely Planet about Rotterdam:
Futuristic architecture, inspired local initiatives such as inner-city canal surfing, a proliferation of art, and a surge of drinking, dining and nightlife venues make Rotterdam one of Europe's most exhilarating cities right now. The Netherlands' second-largest metropolis has a diverse, multiethnic community, an absorbing maritime tradition centred on Europe's busiest port, and a wealth of top-class museums.

Rotterdam is a veritable open-air gallery of modern, postmodern and contemporary construction. It's a remarkable feat for a city largely razed to the ground by WWII bombers. Rebuilding has continued unabated ever since with ingenuity and vision.

Split by the vast Nieuwe Maas shipping channel, Rotterdam is crossed by a series of tunnels and bridges, notably the dramatic Erasmusbrug – the swooping white cable-stayed bridge dubbed de Zwaan (the Swan). On the north side of the water, the city centre is easily strolled.
