The house has a large, nicely decorated living (60 m2) with a big door to a large garden The kitchen provides everything you wish for, including 2 ovens, a microwave, a 6-burner cooker, 2 freezers and a dishwasher. Amongst the facilities are: TV, DVD- and CD-player, wireless internet, laundry washer and - dryer, ironing set. A bathroom with shower and whirpool bath. 2 bedrooms and a fitnessroom (which can also be used as a bedroom with 3 single beds) with hometrainers for bicycle, rowing and walking. In the garage we have several bikes and a Webber barbeque.

Our house is located in the little village Alverna, part of the councel Wijchen, near the town of Nijmegen. Wijchen is a small city with all necessary services. It's a detached house situated just outside the built-up area of the little village Alverna, part of the councel Wijchen. Wijchen is situated between the rivers Meuse and Waal. The house is surrounded by a nice garden and meadows with deer and exotic animals (now kangaroo and lama).
Sightseeing: The city-center of Nijmegen is only 10km away (15 min. drive) and offers a lot of interesting features i.e. musea, art exhibitions, theater,concerts, etc.. Shopping in Nijmegen is very pleasant. A national park (e.g. Nationale Park ‘de Hoge Veluwe’) is situated at 30 min. distance by car. In the middle of the park lies the Kröller Muller Museum which has a world famous collection of Van Gogh paintings. We also have a big theme park (Efteling) at 30 min distance which is interresting for both youngsters and elderly people. The cathedral St Jan in Den Bosch is only on a 30 minutes drive.The well known Dutch cities Amsterdam, the Hague, Delft, Haarlem and Rotterdam can easily be reached by car or public transport (train) within 1 to 2 hours. Nearby we have 2 old villages (Grave and Ravenstein). The province of Zeeland, famous for its Delta Works, can also be reached within 2 hours. As well as Maastricht, a beautifull city in the south of Holland with a French atmosphere, cobblestone streets and magnificent cathedral. You can also reach the beautifull Belgian cities Antwerp, Bruges and Brussels and the German cities Cologne and Bonn within a 2 hour drive or train ride. An overnight trip to London is also feasible, since airports Eindhoven and Niederrhein is only a 30 minutes away. But if you want to stay around the house you can hike along the lake or in the woods, play golf (3 minutes) or bike over the dikes along the rivers and....a lot of restaurants nearby.
