About our home

We live in a nice clean well maintained family home in a part of Zwolle. Zwolle is a beautiful city with a historic centre in the middle of the Netherlands. In this part of town, people know their neighbours. It's a very comfortable house, our (family) home. We have an open kitchen that flows into the living room with a large dining table and nice sofa. In summer we love the sunny backyard (10 meters deep). With a loungeset and a table to drink coffee or have a meal looking at the butterflies in the flowers. Downstairs is a toilet in the hall. Upstairs there are three bedrooms (1 room with a kingsize bed, 1 room with a queensize bed and 1 room with a single bed (90x200cm)) and a modern bathroom with sink, shower and separate toilet. In the attic is a separate room with washingmachine and a fourth bedroom with lots of toys.
I have bought the house in 2015 and have renovated the whole house and garden.

Anke's reviews

As a host (16)

More about us

  1. I am Anke (46) and live as a single mother together with my children daughter (17) and son (13) in Zwolle. I work as a consultant in care for the elderly and as a staff counselor. As a family we like to enjoy traveling, be active (go out to a beach or woods) but like to relax as well. In this age: the kids like to relax and I like te be active ;-)

  2. We exchanged for the first time in august 2011 and had a really good time in France near Saumur/Loire. After this experience we have swapped with different families from Danmark (2 times), Great Britain, France (4 times), Spain (3 times) and Holland (5 times). I have only good experiences with house swapping because it is all in clear communication and expectations. I have divorced in 2015 and have moved into my new house. The first 6 recommendations are written for my former home, the last 9 are regarding my new house. For the (summer) holidays we depend on the planned schoolholidays of my kids. The summer holidays we would like to use a maximum of two weeks to exchange in Europe and max. three weeks for Canada/USA. I am a responsible person and would take care of your belongings as if they would be mine. If something would break we will tell you and will agree on what to do.

  3. We like to explore Europe or abroad, we are open for offers. I will always reply your mail! I have noted when we are available in the calender. Looking for a exchange in October.

Where is it?

Our neighborhood consists especially houses with greenery. We have different playgrounds around within walking distance. There is a supermarket 1 km away and an entire shopping center at 1 km away. With public transport you can access from Zwolle throughout the Netherlands very well. By car, you are in 5 minutes on the highway. The center of Zwolle is very authentic and at 15 minutes by bicycle. The beauty of the area's diversity: one moment you cycle through the woods, the next moment on a dike along the river IJssel. Zwolle is located in the middle of Netherlands, with the car you drive in just over one hour to Amsterdam and the other larger cities. Nice authentic cities nearby are Kampen, Hattem, Deventer, Meppel. In the north of the Netherlands are the "wadden"Islands, for a daytrip or to spend a few days.
