About our home

Our second home is a delightful two bedroom open plan cottage situated on a approx 590 square metre section with a stream boundary. The house offers open plan kitchen, dining and lounge, air conditioned with french doors opening out from the lounge to the back bar-b-que area with ample room for sitting and cooking. There is a double bedroom with a queen size bed and another bedroom with two single bunks. Separate bathroom with shower and separate toilet. There is a car port that ajoins the house.


More about us

  1. My partner is 65 years of age and works in airconditioning. I am 55 years of age and work as a Property Advisor. Between us we have 6 grown up children and my partner has 6 grandchildren. Akaroa is our Holiday home and therefore a reciprocal exchange is not required.

Where is it?


Situated in Akaroa which is on the Banks Peninsula being a 1 hr 30 minute drive from central Christchurch. Akaroa is an early French settlement and is known for its holiday seaside resort atmosphere. Akaroa has numerous cafe's and restaurants which line its Streets together with local craft shops. Your days can be filled with the many sporting activities such as swimming with the dolphins, harbour crusies, fishing, sailing, diving, water skiing, jet skiing, walking, golf or just lazying on the beach.
