About our home

It is a beautiful, spacious, one level home with open panoramic view from each room. We have mainly spent summer months in it December through February. Birds singing wakes you up to enjoy the day. Have a cup of tea on the terrace with our peacocks and with picturesque panoramic view of the forests. 12 acres of private property to your full disposal: take nice walks through the garden or the forest of old NZ trees. We have the caretaker of the property who comes to feed the birds. In the house we have 2 bedrooms and a little room that could be used as another bedroom or a den. There is a king size bed in one bedroom and two beds that you can put together to make one bed in the other bedroom. There is just enough furniture for living. In floor heating for winters. No smoking and no pets allowed. There is a good chance that you will have an internet by your arrival.

We are a family with three little kids and love to travel. My husband works in the hedge fund and enjoys photography. Iâm a home stay mother. We have been traveling with kids to quite a few places. We will treat your home just like ours: the way we see the house upon arrival, we would like to leave it the same way. We would expect the same from you.

Where is it?

Neighbourhood

The house is located on the north shore of Auckland approximately 20 min. of driving from downtown. Auckland is the biggest city in NZ. About 15min driving to the beach which is very good for swimming and sunbathing. There are grocery and other convenience stores close by. Some of the activities are hiking, kayaking, fishing, windsurfing, sailing, birds and animal watching, golf. You could take tours to a volcanic area, mountains, caves and other nature tours; or see the local Maori show.
