About our home

Ours is a tidy, comfortable family home across the road from a park with trees and sports fields. We also have a private back garden with mature trees.

The house has 3 bedrooms, an office, 2 living areas, and 2 bathrooms. The main living area is an open-plan lounge, dining and kitchen, which opens out to a deck with views across to the park.

More about us

  1. My husband Malcolm and I are in our early to mid forties, and have two sons aged 11 and 6 years. Malcolm is the Research Director for an international consultancy firm. I work freelance from home in the field of medical editing (I qualified as a pharmacist) and administration. Malcolm's business commitments mean that he spends a lot of time travelling around the world, particularly in Asia and Europe. Because of a project he is involved with this year, we would like to take the whole family to Europe for 2 to 3 months (May, June and July 2007), so that we can spend more time together as a family. We enjoy travelling, camping, cooking, food and wine. We would love our boys to experience another culture.

Where is it?

Point Chevalier is a friendly suburb set on a peninsula 15 minutes drive from the central city. We are within walking distance to the beach and several parks, schools and local shops. Our house is close to the bus route to the central city and a large shopping mall.

Within 30 minutes drive are most of Auckland city's attractions, including museums, art galleries, restaurants, the viaduct, beaches, the zoo, native bush walks, wineries, etc.
