About our home

Welcome to Jasmine Cottage.
The photos speak for themselves really but here
are the basics about this house. It’s a single level home in one of Auckland’s best suburbs. 1 minute walk to Milford Beach and the same in the opposite direction to shopping mall and specialty shops. The house is a very pleasant, relaxing place to be in. It has 2 double bedrooms and one single bedroom currently used as an office. (Desk, stereo, books, broadband internet etc.) It has two lounge rooms each with its own fire place, plus of course there is a seperate laundry area, kitchen and dining room.

The master bedroom has a king size bed with top quality linen and mattress etc. and flat screen wall mounted LCD TV.
There is another 37” plasma TV in the first lounge.
The second bedroom has a queen size bed, ditto re the linen etc., and also has a desk. The house sleeps four.

5 star hotel quality bathroom. Japanese electric bidet with heated seat, underfloor heating, bath and mains pressure shower (i.e. excellent water pressure). Plenty of storage for medicines, toiletries etc.

The family/dining room flows out on to a large private deck area with seating, patio heater, outdoor gas heated Jacuzzi. There’s a lawn area, wood shed and garden. Herbs too!

Well appointed kitchen with modern appliances throughout. Alarm system.Sky Plus. Excellent sound system. Smoking? Outside please.

Overall approx. 140 square metres of living space.

More about us

  1. Something about me.
I am a 44 year old single male. I work as a free lance interpreter and translator and also do film location management work for Japanese
companies. I am financially very secure, responsible and will treat your house with the utmost respect and care. Obviously I am dead keen to live and base myself in London for a year and would love to hear from anyone who may be interested in a swap. I have visited London and the UK on five occassions in the last ten years but feel the time has come for a longer stay. All enquiries welcome. Preferred areas Kensington, Notting Hill, Holland Park, Fulham, Hammersmith, Pimlico, Chelsea. Also would consider Wimbledon, Surbiton, Thames Ditton or similar in W or NW quarter.

Where is it?

The general area.
The area itself is 90% residential but also gives you the choice of 2 supermarkets, restaurants and specialty shops just 2 minute’s walk away.
Takapuna, the next beach down the coast has more of a night scene with restaurants, bars and a great Sunday morning growers’ market, and of course another stunning beach.

This could be a wonderful opportunity not just to experience life in New Zealand, but also to explore this part of the world. Just as London has Europe on it’s back door step, New Zealand has Pacific Islands such as Fiji, Samoa, Tonga, Vanuatu, Norfolk Island, New Caledonia etc., all within a 3 hour plane ride away. Australia too. Just 2 and a half hours to Sydney. With Auckland as your base this very comfortable, relaxing, well-equipped home in a temperate part of the world could just be what a slightly jaded Londoner needs.
