About our home

Our home is large, warm and sunny. It has four bedrooms, with the master bedroom having a walk in wardrobe and ensuite with a corner spa bath and shower. The master bedroom has a king bed, the other 3 bedrooms consist of two queen beds and one double bed. We have a formal lounge and dining room and an informal lounge and dining room with a large modern kitchen. The family room opens out onto a terrace and spacious garden, with outdoor furniture and a barbeque. We have internal access to the garage.

More about us

We are Karen and Richard, a married couple with three adult children. We are both professionals (consultant and legal executive). We have lived overseas in Sydney and Singapore and just love travelling. Some friends have told us how they have enjoyed home exchange and we thought it would suit us. Home exchange seems a great way to get a taste of living in another country. We would also love to have people come and enjoy our home. We like going away every winter and Christmas, each for a couple of weeks. Often Richard and I travel on our own now that our children are adults. This year we are particularly interested in our family holidaying in a central New York apartment for Christmas 2011. We would like to be able to stay in the apartment from around 23 December 2011 to around 2 January 2012. However, our home will be available from 24 December 2011 to 14 January 2012.

Where is it?

Neighbourhood

We live in a quiet up market neighbourhood. Our house is 3 minutes walk to the local Milford Beach and 3 minutes walk to the local shopping mall which has a large supermarket, food court and many good shops. We are also only 30 minutes walk away from Takapuna, the second largest shopping area on the North Shore. Lake Pupuke is a 5 minute walk from our house. This is a lovely fresh water lake where you can windsurf and swim. The local bus stop is 2 minutes walk, which will take you to most areas of North Shore city and to Auckland City. There is a lovely walk along the beach front between Milford and Takapuna.
