About our home

Our house is a lovely house with two double bedroom and a study that is the baby's bedroom. There is a large and sunny living room, a large, old-fashioned eat-in kitchen and a separate laundry room attached to the house. The bathroom and WC have been renovated. There is a lovely deep bath in the bathroom, and plenty of storage space. There is a beautiful magnolia tree in the front garden. Out the back there is a covered area for a car. We have to go away for a couple of extended periods, and would like the house to be used. There is all the normal baby equipment, as well.

Hi, we're Catherine and Antony, we're a professional couple who have been living in New Zealand for a bit over a year, and we've just had our first child who's now 16 weeks old. We're really enjoying living in Auckland, which is a beautiful laidback city with great scenery and food. For work reasons we will be away for a couple of periods, and we want to share with someone the opportunity to spend time in New Zealand.

Where is it?

Neighbourhood

Our place is in Mt Albert which is one of the inner suburbs of Auckland. The house itself is in a quiet tree-lined cul-de-sac and the surrounding streets are filled with old-fashioned weatherboard houses, with nice gardens and trees. There are tennis, croquet, bowling and squash centres nearby. There are several public parks and gardens in the vicinity (good for children!), and the house is very close to a large variety of shops, two railway stations and a major bus route.
