About our home

This is one of the 8 terrace houses in the mews which is very green and beautiful in rustic sense in spite of being on the main road. This is an unusual design for a New Zealand House, as it is entirely built of handmade bricks and has a great charm. The high ceiling brings in amazing hues of light, especially in the summer. The front and back yard have lovely trees and plants with seasonal flowers. Kitchen, lounge and a toilet are downstairs and the three bedrooms are upstairs. The house is clean tidy and modestly furnished.

More about us

I am middle aged and have a grown up daughter. I work for a bank and my daughter for the advertising media. I have done a few non-simultaneous swaps and they went very well. I am now looking to travel to the US in May 2010 with my daughter. I am happy to have further communication through email, skype, photos and phone calls with the right interested persons.

Where is it?

Neighbourhood

I live in one of the most sought after central suburbs only 8 km from the city central. The drive to the city is along one of the most scenic drives with iconic views by the waterfront(Rangitoto). The bus to the city is right outside the compound of the Mews. The beach is 20 minutes walk from the house. Restaurants, cinema, supermarkets, library, banks, natural reserves and almost private beaches all within walking distances. For a city it is a Nature's Paradise. There are several Islands(e.g.Waiheke) close to the city which are just a ferry ride away. A ski resort(Mt. Rupehu) is within 4 hours drive from the city. Airfares can be as cheap as NZD 39-95 to fly you to various different parts of the country.
