About our home

My apartment is clean, attractive and secure. It is on the fourth floor of a low-rise block, right on the wharf in downtown Auckland. It is comfortably furnished and has two bedrooms, each with a queen bed. There is a comfortable fold out single size bed available also. It is very warm in winter - it is mid-winter and I have not needed to use the heater yet but it is easily and quickly heated when required. In summer large sliding doors open onto the terrace and opening windows cool it at night.

It has a spacious feel to it with the lounge opening up onto a large uncovered deck and the second bedroom onto a smaller covered deck. There is a fully equipped kitchen or eat at any one of the numerous restaurants within minutes of the apartment - or perhaps take a dinner cruise on the beautiful Waitemata Harbour. Parking is available (included)directly outside but you could easily explore much of greater Auckland on public transport.

More about us

  1. I am a single woman in a responsible management role. I have travelled widely and want to continue doing so. I am particularly interested in visiting Italy (in particular Venice and Florence). My apartment is ideal for a visitor to the country because of it's proximity to everything and I would like to find something similar, ideally for 2-3 weeks. Sydney and Melbourne I am happy to consider anything from a long weekend onwards. I love being near the sea or in very close proximity to the centre of the city. I am happy to travel on public transport. My home is clean and well presented and I would show the same respect for yours.

Where is it?

The wharf and viaduct area are the centre of much of Auckland's entertainment and nightlife - with countless award winning bars and restaurants (the Hilton is on the Wharf also) nearby, the Maritime Museum, yachting, fishing trips, shops. Also in close proximity are two excellent supermarkets. theatres and galleries. This is a fabulous place to holiday - you could take the ferry across the harbour and explore historic Devonport with it's quaint houses and interesting shops, or go to Waiheke Island and explore the wineries, explore the walkways or go to some of the stunning beaches to laze, surf or swim depending on the season.....if you want to go further afield either hire a car or enjoy the scenery and travel with one of the numerous tour operators that will take you further afield for a day trip or a few days. Very cheap airfares (sometimes as low as $NZ49 if booked in advance) to Wellington or Christchurch where you could spend a night or two.
