About our home

Our modern home has a large open plan living room/dining room/kitchen with a small fireplace and which opens onto a sunny deck. The master bedroom has an ensuite. We have two other bedrooms with queen sized beds. We have a separate large tv/computer/lounge room with a large super-comfortable sofa for watching tv. Double internal garaging. Car available to exchange on simultaneous exchanges.

More about us

I (Rebekah) am a freelance publisher. My husband Roy is a commercial photographer. We have two grown children. We enjoy restaurants, theatre, music, art, reading, travelling and spending time with friends. We have had twelve very successful exchanges in Europe, Tahiti and Mexico.
At present we are looking for an exchange in Hawaii for December 2014 and in Florence and in Morocco for 2015.

Where is it?

Neighbourhood

Our home is north facing (same advantages as south facing in Europe) in a quiet street minutes from the Auckland waterfront, beaches, cafes, restaurants and theatres. We are 10 minutes drive to the city centre and have several shopping villages nearby including a supermarket and medical centre. We are very near the harbour from where you can travel by ferry to many beautiful small islands ie Waiheke Island known for its vineyards, cafes, art galleries and sculpture walks. We are 30 minutes drive to the east coast surf beaches and forests. From Auckland it is 2 hours drive to Northland, Coromandel and Rotorua. We are 4 hours drive from Mt Ruapehu for skiing. Sports fans - sail in an Americas Cup boat or see the All Blacks live!
