About our home

Just the very best way to explore the beautiful South Island. Our campervan 'Mr Blue Sky' is perfect for 2 persons. It has an electrically powered bed that lifts away into the roof when not in use. We respect the space and look after her. We ask that you show the same :)
IMPORTANT NOTES:
Drivers need to have a clean NZ/Australian/UK /International licence and be over 25
There is a system in NZ of purchasing 'mileage' for diesel vehicles (road user charges). You will need to purchase (from any post office) the diesel kilometres for the distance that you travel. (as at 2022 it is $NZ76 per 1000 kilometres). By way of offset, diesel pump prices are on average 25% less than petrol
The campervan is registered with the NZMCA - you can make use of their discounted camping rates and help/information app
All grey and foul waste must be removed at the end of your journey and when full during use (most communities have a free dump station for campervans to dispose of waste and fill with clean water)
The excess on the vehicle's insurance policy is $NZ500. This will need to be deposited before collection and will be refunded if there is no damage)
The vehicle is covered by the AA breakdown service.
The van will be clean and made ready for you. Please leave it that way on return.
You will need your own wifi - most campsites have wifi. There's a tv & DVD's in the van
It has a solar panel so can be used 'off grid' but a powered campsite is recommended
Just a few good housekeeping things.....
