About our home

Our home was built in 2006. It is situated on half an acre and is surrounded to one side by paddocks and a riding school. Heathcote Valley enjoys a unique micro climate and a village feel. Within walking distance we have three tourist attractions, the Christchurch gondola, Ferrymead Heritage Park and the Maori Village. We are also 10 mins from the sea.

We have four bedrooms two with double beds and two set up for children a boy and a girl. One has an ensuite and walk in wardrobe.
We have two cars avalibale for use and bikes, fishing gear. There is a computer avaliable with intenet access.
We also have DVD, VIDEO and sky.
For those intereted there is a climbing wall in the garage!

Out side there is a large patio area with a BBQ and plenty of seating. We also have a fort, and trampoline for the children and a small chicken coop.

There is parking for two cars in the garage and parking for a further two vehicles.
The house is situated for the sun and is heated by heatpump. This also provides air con in the summer.

The Heathcote Valley area is an historic area in Christchurch. We are surrounded by the port hills and only 10 mins from the sea. It is semi rural and the community is very friendly and welcoming.
There is good public transport to town and a 5min drive or 15 min walk brings you to a choice of resturants and local shops.
We have great views of the hills and the valley and our living area looks onto horse paddocks.
Heathcote is great for anybody any age.
There is climbing locally, mountain biking, hill running, paragliding, kite surfing... and riding so you wont be bored!

We emigrated to NZ from the UK 5 years ago, but like to return to visit family ( hence the exchange). We work in the fields of social work and IT and have two children, 6 and 2 years.
