About our home

BayView Retreat was finished in 2011. The property is over 2acres and sits on a ridge overlooking some of the best coast and country of beautiful New Zealand. 7 metres of sliding glass opens to the front (facing north to the coast) and 7 metres of sliding glass to the back (facing uninterrupted rolling, green countryside to the south.) Within 20mins are some of NZs most glorious beaches, the area is renowned for its fishing, Carrington golf course, wineries and astonishing walks. From Bayview Retreat, all the best spots in the Far North are accessible by a easy day trip, including Bay of Islands, Kerikeri and Cape Reinga. The property is wonderfully suited to children, older families, older couples or honeymooners!

  1. Married couple in 60s. One daughter & 3 grandchildren (in photo, 2016). Travelled widely for many years and loved it all.

  2. Neville (husband) now retired, I am Nelwyn - University Lecturer.

  3. We love the remote beauty of countryside, mountains and coast. We travel to experience the culture and history of other countries in this beautiful and amazing world.
