About our home

My renovated period vacation home overlooking the mouth of the Whanganui River is an idillic retreat in the heart of Wanganui township. Perched on a hill, up some stairs from the river road with no vehicle access, it is a secluded haven with polished wooden floors, two bedrooms and a sun-drehced study for those creative projects.

Wanganui is the perfect adventure holiday base, with local jet boat and canoe adventures, bush walks, mountain hikes, a surf beach and just a couple of hours from the snow of National Park and Mt Ruapehu, or the bright lights and culture of the capital city, Wellington. Wanganui is centrally located to serve as a base for your New Zealand adventure.

More about us

  1. This is my second house that my daughter and her family have been living in. I'm a writer and filmmaker who has worked extensively as a clown teacher. Now on the road promoting my new astrology book, in the short term I'm keen to find a home in Los Angeles, ideally at Venice Beach from June 7 to 15 and a European home either in Amsterdam from July 2nd to August 27th, or in Vienna from July 12th to August 27th.
