Stunning Home with a self contained cottage nestled in the vineyards

“Shelly and Neil's three bedroom bach in Gibbston is perfection. Every detail was designed and built by this amazing duo. The space itself; three bedrooms, large and cozy living and dining area and washroom/laundry provide everything one could need. The bach is also located on a beautiful piece of land in wine country and boasts numerous wineries close by. A few minutes from the house you can walk through the open fields and down by a glorious turquoise river. This region of the south island is simply spectacular. Queenstown, Glenorchy, Milford Sound are all within a reasonable distance and make this home was a great base to travel from and wonderful to come home to. I was so taken by my visit that I am planning on building a very similarly planned structure on land that I own in Canada. I would highly recommend this location to anyone considering this region in the south Island. It was one of my favorite weeks in my 12 week New Zealand adventure. “We had a perfect 11 days in Shelley and Neil's place in the Gibbston Valley, surrounded by snow-capped mountains and vineyards, while they stayed in our place on the Sunshine Coast. Shelley and Neil were easy to deal with, and made us feel very welcome in their home. Their house is beautiful. Frieda and Dudley, their two dogs, could not have been better companions, and Shelley and Neil looked after our dog as if she were their own. We swapped cars, and this also went smoothly. We used their place as a perfect base from which to cruise on Lake Wakatipu, climb Ben Lomond, walk and do wine tasting in the Gibbston Valley, and visit Queenstown, Arrowtown and Glenorchy.
