About our home

A small boutique hotel which is very busy in summer but closed from 1 May untill 31 August each year. All rooms are en suite and the house has all ammenities to care for our paying guests during the season. It is not suitable for children and pets. More about us

My wife Lea and myself, Dave, are in our early 50s and work only in our summer. We have 2 grown up children who haveleft home, at last!!
Our interest is travel and we will be in Europe from 1 May until 31 August 2006 and would like a number of swaps of up to 1 month but would consider anything and will travel anywhere. A car being available would be great.

Where is it?

Neighbourhood

We are at Fox Glacier which is surrounded by National park, mountains and glaciers. There are many walks in the rainforest and mountains. Fox Glacier is a village of 280 residents and has several restaurants and hotel to cater for the summer tourist rush. In the winter it is quieter with frosty mornings but no snow on the ground and days of 10-12C. We are 100m above sea level and have views of snow capped Mt cook at 3600m A car is available.
