About our home

A loveley family home with excellent street appeal situated in a beautiful tree lined street only minutes from the CBD. The home has been renovated to a nice standard, has high ceilings and good natural light. With 2 spacious double bedrooms plus a single bedroom and three living areas our home reflects a peaceful and relaxing environment in which to live. There is a large covered verandah at the front and spacious wooden deck at the rear of the house overlookiing a sub tropical landscaped garden with mature trees and a large rock waterfall and pond providing a quite haven in the back yard to relax and enjoy both the garden and tranquil sound of flowing water.A large double garage is situated at the rear of the property. The rear of our home faces west allowing us to enjoy some beautiful sunsets, and being only 10 houses away from our local beach is a wonderful bonus.

Our neighbourhood is considered to be one of the most desirable and sought after in New Zealand. It is lovely quiet area occupied predominantly by character homes many of which are of a superior quality of design and constuction built in the early 1900s, as well as modern superior residences on large sections overlooking the Waitemata Harbour. The area is very quiet and a lovely place for walking around, with the beaches, parks and shopping within close proximity. It is only a 5 minute walk to the local bus stop and a short 1 section bus trip or 50 minute walk into the central city. It is also very enjoyable walking into the city under the Auckland Harbour bridge past the very large boat marina and enjoying the coffee bars and restaurants on the way.The area is only a 10 minute drive to many fabulous eastern beaches and the harbour bridge provides quick and easy access to the North Shore and the many lovely beaches and other amenities the North Shore has to offer.

My wife and I are now both 60 years old, fit and healthy and enjoying life. We have two adult children, our daughter has her own Audiologist practice and our son is an accountant and we have 6 grandchildren.I was employed as a Senior Property Valuer for 25 years with the Auckland City Council and am now retired. My general interests include jogging, Tai Chi, pilates, music, gardening and travel. My wife works on a contract basis as a Ward Clerk at the Auckland Hospital and her general interests include yoga, daily walking, art, and travel.
