About our home

Our stunning home has two separate dwellings. The main house has 5 bedrooms- 3 ensuites and a main bathroom plus a guest toilet. The pool house sleeps 4, has one bathroom and features a spa pool where the windows fold back to give you uninterrupted views of the lake. The Lakehouse is situated in the cultural capital of New Zealand and offers a vast number of cultural and sporting events and opportunities. Our home is 15 minutes from town and a 5 minute taxi ride from the airport. It is a quiet location and there is a bus top outside our door that will take you to the airport and to town.

Where is it?

Buzzy restaurants
Situated 10 minutes away from the hub of Rotorua where there are many restaurants including the infamous Eat Street
Retail therapy
10 minutes away from the shopping centre. There is a bus outside the front door.
Bit of culture
Rotorua is the cultural capital of New Zealand. The house is 10-20 minutes away from the geysers: Pōhutu is the largest active geyser in the southern hemisphere. She erupts once or twice every hour and sometimes reaches heights of 30 metres (100 feet). There is so much to do and see from Rainbow Springs, the Buried Village, Agrodome, experience a hangi and a Maori cultural performance.
Walks in the park
Siutated near the Redwood Forest you can either simply walk, complete a canopy trail through the trees, hike or hire mountain bikes.
Spot of exercise
The scenic walks are endless from around Blue Lake or through the forest. Fishing tours and lake tours are easily available. For those looking for adventure there is the luge, horse riding, four wheel quad bike trails and clay shooting. White water rafting is 15 minutes from the house.
Day tripping
If being pampered is more your style then there is a spa 2 doors down that offers many beauty treatment and the famous Polnesian Pools is 15 minutes away.
