More about us

  1. Robin and Marilyn Armstrong would like to spend time in either the the South of France, Italy or Croatia. We are involved in the local Snowsports Industry. Robin is a landscaper in summer and coaches skiing in winter. Marilyn is an administrator for a snowsports organisation. THis means we cannot offer exchanges during our winter (June-October) We have two adult sons. This will be our first exchange and hope this becomes an affordable way for us to gain local experience of another country and culture. We have traveled extensively when younger (before children)and prefer to spend time in one place, getting to know the local people and culture rather than visiting different cities every few days. At this time in our lives we are restricted to specific times for our holidays but soon we hope to be more flexible.

Where is it?

We are located within the Jacks Point golf course development in the Queenstown area. This is the number one golf course in the South Island of NZ. We have spectacular 360 degree views of the surrounding lakes and mountains with extensive walking and mountain biking trails from the house. There is a lake nearby stocked with with rainbow trout to catch for dinner. And the local Club House restaurant is open for breakfast and lunch. Also nearby is the Gibbston Valley which is gaining an international reputation for its pinot noir. Queenstown is the gateway to Milford Sound and the Routeburn and Milford great walks. Queenstown is also the adventure capital of NZ - bungy jumping, paragliding, jet boats and many more activities, Great restaurants and shopping but also only minutes to native bush trails. Located 10 mins from the Queenstown Airport and 20 mins to Queenstown.
