About our home

Please note this is our main home so we are extremely unlikely to accept points or swaps for any stays of less than 10 days overseas beyond Australia or the Pacific Islands. It is also usually rented over Christmas and New Year. Thanks.

Set on the sunny side of Lake Wakatipu in stunning Queenstown with its own boat mooring and a jetty at the bottom of the garden. Walk 10 minutes along the fully formed lake side track to the Hilton Hotel & you can catch the water taxi direct to Queenstown's famous downtown restaurants, boutiques and nightlife 10 minutes across the lake.

You will enjoy 180 degree views, all day sun, large decks with outdoor seating, dining table and bbq cooking and a cosy courtyard with an authentic stone pizza oven and hot tub overlooking the lake and mountains.

The house is light and spacious with unbroken water views. Simply decorated for no fuss comfort the kitchen, dining and living areas are split level and open plan flowing towards the decks and lake front. In winter enjoy both an open fire and heat pump plus aircon and ceiling fan for the warm summer days. The two lake front bedrooms have deck access, 1 with an ensuite, and one bedroom is setback still with mountain and lake views. The second bathroom has both bath and shower plus a separate toilet.

The house is 10 minutes walk to the Hilton Hotel boasting a great spa, 3 restaurants, 3 bars, deli and wine shop.
Frankton township is 5 minutes drive with a complete range of supermarkets, retail stores and restaurants.
Downtown Queenstown is a 15 minute drive away or 10 mins on the water taxi.
Arrowtown is 20 mins drive.
Lake Hayes 15 mins drive.
Wanaka is 60 mins drive.
Remarkable ski field access road is 5 mins drive.
Coronet Peak ski field 15 mins
Cardrona ski field 45 mins
Treblecone ski field 90 mins

The Queenstown cycle way goes right past the house and you can travel for miles in both directions, soak up the scenery and maybe stop at some world renowned vineyards along the way.

The house is a real home. It's an extremely comfortable space with a great feel set off by the water at your door step.

Queenstown needs no real sell. It's world famous for good reason so if you haven't been before checkout www.queenstownnz.co.nz and I'm sure you will want to visit.

A modern SUV is available with the house on request and cleaning can be arranged if required.

  1. We are a couple who love our life in Queenstown as well as spending as much time overseas as our commitments will allow.

  2. John is in construction / property development and I own a furniture and interiors store.

Set on a peninsula Kelvin Heights is on the sunny side of Lake Wakatipu. Dotted with high end homes maximising the sunshine and lake views it is a very quiet, safe neighborhood still close to down town Queenstown. .
