About our home

Our home is a clean, spacious well appointed home set on a lifestyle block with a river bounding three sides (plenty of swimming holes).
Our orchard holds in excess of 50 fruit producing trees, and our vege garden usually has a stock of fresh vegetables.
Two bedrooms have en-suites and queen sized beds, and they each open out onto a private verandah. One bedroom has a double bed and the other has two single beds; these bedrooms have a bathroom and separate toilet situated between them.
The large kitchen has a gas hob and an electric cooktop, two ovens and a dishwasher. It is well stocked with plenty of appliances and other kitchen needs. A barbeque is available on the covered verandah.
The kitchen is open to a large dining area, the table seats 8 comfortably and there is a table and 6 chairs on the front verandah as well.
The property is large with plenty of room. The river provides numerous swimming holes.

More about us

Jack and Di have seven children who have all now left home. Our families and seven grandchildren are scattered around NZ.
Jack is a Chartered Accountant with his office in Paihia, and Di is a local body politician, she also runs her own marketing company from home.
We enjoy travelling when work allows and would like to spend more time doing this.
We have not done a house swap before, and are keen to try this.

Where is it?

Neighbourhood

There is lots to do nearby.
Kerikeri, less than 10 minutes away, is a great shopping centre, and has many cafes, restaurants and interesting boutique shops.
Paihia and Waitangi in the Bay of Islands is only 30 minutes and has many attractions; water based activities, historic attractions and many cafes and restaurants.
Ngawha Hot Springs, a therapeutic mineral spring, is 30 minutes away.
There are many beaches within a half hour drive, and Mangonui to the north is 45 mins.
