About our home
We offer a modern masonry farmhouse style cottage set on 5 acres and overlooking an orange orchard.
The property is two storied - living down and sleeping up.
The land is part pasture, part orange orchard and part native bush with a stream.
The perimeter of the land is planted in native trees for privacy and quietness.
It is a pleasant and relaxed lifestyle here with light sunny tones throughout.

I am a 66 year old male - now single and semi retired.
I treat my property with respect and care and would do the same for your place.
I would welcome the chance to share with somebody who lives in an area that has not been beaten flat by tourists. I am not looking to do major touristy things but rather have a change of pace in a different environment for a while.
Also a single or couple would be very welcome to stay here while I am at home - and I could if it seemed desirable happily show you around the Bay of Islands if you could return the favour when I visited your area. (This may mean that we could visit our host's areas at the most desirable times of the year).

Where is it?
Neighbourhood
The property is about 4km from Kerikeri itself.
Kerikeri was voted top town in NZ a year or two back and it is a very pleasant place with many cafes and shops.
We are near to the beach at Paihia (19 km) and the fishing and sailing charters that leave from there for the broader Bay of Islands - and it's reputed 300 islands (although I have only ever counted about 50).
Kerikeri is near the kauri forest national park.
All the desirable beaches in Northland (and fishing spots) are within 100 km of here.
The immediate area around the house is historical - the road on which the house stands is supposedly the oldest formed road in NZ.
Until very recently this area was quiet and secluded. If you would like to escape clamour and too may people for a while - but be near civilisation (about 1km from the airport) - this is a good choice.
