About our home

My home is a Colonial Cottage about 115 yrs old, I am renovating it, cosy in winter with heat pumps which also keep it cool in summer. I love art so my walls are a testament to this, The house is fully carpeted, has high-speed internet, also DVD and Sky TV, plus stereo, my car is also available, it has a spacious garden, but it is also private,

The words write about yourself strike terror to my pen, but here goes, I am 65 years young, a widow now with grown children and 5 grandchildren. I live with my dog Henry, he's a miniature Dachshund and a great friend. I love to travel, West Yorkshire is my preferred destination as I have family there. I love Yorkshire and like to visit. I am busy in my life I go swimming with friends, love reading, crafts and gardening, also addicted to my computer.

Where is it?

Neighbourhood

The town where I live is in a rural area, but it has a good High street, a chemist, supermarket, two secondhand shops, butchers, doctors, vets, and others, also a Bank. 30 mins away is the Big City of Christchurch where you can see the Museums, go boating on the Avon, shopping, the Art Centre, the beach at Sumner, restaurants, and many more attractions. Banks Peninsula is 1 hours drive away, you can swim with Dolphins, shop or have a leisurely lunch, or take a tour, there is also a lovely local golf course, and skiing close by, fishing in the sea plus local rivers.
