I am a town planner/landscape architect and have travelled extensively and lived in several other countries. I moved to New Zealand from the UK with my ex-husband in 1975. I have two adult children who live with their partners in Christchurch and Wellington. I exchanged houses and jobs with a planner in Southampton in 1994 and found it was a great way to see another part of the world. I am keen to visit family in England/Scotland and would like to spend time in France as I love the country and the culture and can speak some French.Would consider a swap during the rugby World Cup in Sept/Oct 2011.England and Scotland have fixtures in Christchurch.Transport available . Lyttelton is the port to the city of Christchurch. It is located in an extinct volcanic crater so the scenery is stunning. The town was first settled in 1850 so it contains quaint cottages and houses as well as more modern development. There is a market, cafes, restaurants, a supermarket, library, chemist and book shops in the next street. It is only 15 mins drive through a road tunnel to the centre of Christchurch city and is on a main bus route. All types of leisure opportunities are nearby including sailing, skiing, golf, tramping, swimming and a gym.
