About our home

Our beach house is a modern two storey house with three bedrooms, bathroom, upstairs and downstairs kitchens,as well as upstairs and donwstairs lounge. There are panoramic views of the beach and sea from the upstairs lounge and balcony. The house is open plan. We have a large private backyard and a shaded area for barbequeing. The house is warm in the winter and the downstairs is cool in the summer.

More about us

Debbie and Paul argue all the time because Debbie is always right and Paul just nods off. We enjoy travelling on holiday, and like to sample the real atmosphere of a place. Debbie prefers warm climates but I couldn't care less. I would like to visit Russia but Debbie thinks it will be too cold. We have visited many Asian countries and would now like to venture into Europe, although we are open to most destinations. We also have a house in Napier for exchange,close to city centre and beaches.
My husband and are share holders in an Irrigation company in Hawkes Bay.
We have had two successful home exchanges one in England and one in Greece,a great way to travel and see the world.

Where is it?

Neighbourhood

Our house is located in the quiet coastal settlement of Mahia on the East Coast of the North Island.(approx 500 permanent residents) Mahia is approximately 3/4 hours drive from Gisborne and 2 hours from Napier. Mahia is on a peninsula so there are many different beaches to suit different activities, i.e. fishing, diving, surfing, swimming, boating etc. There are bushwalks, a natural spa, caves and a golf course. There is a local pub, cafes and dairies.
