About our home

My home is spacious, modern, warm and inviting and located centrally in New Zealand. I have four bedrooms and two bathrooms and a large open kitchen lounge and a private reading room. The section is small so maintenace is easy. I have a small back yard which is well fenced and have two fur babies who are happy in that space. The ground floor has double bifold doors which open up onto a large deck which faces the sea and you will be in awe of the amazing panaromic views and its on this deck where you can relax and have a wine or two, while watching the sun set behind the beautiful Abel Tasman mountains. I love cooking while watching the ships go by in and out of the harbour. A small native bush is just down the road and you will wake up to the calls of myraid of native birds.
There is a large double garage and the house is on a small cul de sac which is safe, private and quiet. It is a short 5 minute drive into the small quaint town of Nelson

More about us

  1. Im a single woman who has lived an adventurous life and am now settled back in New Zealand after working internationally for over 25 years. I like good food, good wine and a great laugh. I am funny, interesting, kind and caring and overly independant.( some might say) I have met Mr Always right onve or twice .but .now would like to meet a just right!!

  2. I have always worked as a humanitarian. I started with Red Cross in 2000 and now I am the manager of Red Cross in the top of the South Island of New Zealand. However, I am retiring which is why I am joining house swap. I play Tennis, hike, do lots of walks around this area, which is brimming with tracks and trails and I am learning portrait painting and am about to start my second novel. ( The first one wasnt any good!!)

  3. I love being with and around other people and history. I walk a lot, read and write and am a generous person who would look after your home as I would expect mine to be looked after. I live in one of the most beautiful parts ofNZ with one of the best climates, no matter what the season.

Where is it?

I live 5 minutes from the town centre..but close to the wonderful Glenduan beach walk and the best kept secret in NZ,Cable Bay. MArybank is a small area of very modern and upmarket houses. There is no though traffic and at the end of the street there is a farm. There is public transport at the end of the street and everywhere there are walking and cycling tracks. I have two bikes that I use to go into town. There is a well supplied supermarket 2 mi nutes away and the last remnant of beachside bush is just down the road. this means that native birds are heard and that you get to see lots of birdlfe around.
